A man was arrested and released on a citation after he was allegedly “pleasuring himself” near a group of people at the Valencia Westfield Town Center Mall Sunday. 

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, deputies received reports of an indecent exposure call at the Valencia Westfield Town Center Mall on the  24300 block of Town Center Drive in Valencia, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.  

“It was reported a male black adult exposed his genitals to the victim,” Arriaga said. 

Deputies detained a man matching the suspect description in the north parking lot of the mall, later positively identified as the suspect, according to Sheriff’s officials. 

“During investigation, deputies learned while the victim was sitting with her friends in the parking structure, the suspect approached them, exposed himself and began pleasuring himself,” Arriaga said. 

Clarence Ross, 33, from California City  was arrested for indecent exposure, a misdemeanor, Arriaga added. 

Ross was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and later released on a citation, Arriaga said .
