A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital Thursday evening after being involved in a vehicle collision.
Update: The motorcyclist has been pronounced dead, according to officials.
He was transported to the hospital with major injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospitals emergency room, Stg. Dennis Duarte for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriffs Station said.
The incident was reported around 6 p.m. after a call went out about an unconscious motorcyclist, according to officials.
Officials arrived at the scene near Via Joyce Drive and Plum Canyon where the person was transported to a local hospital.
“The motorcyclist was transferred to a local hospital at 6:16 p.m.,” said Supervisor Cheryl Sims with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of Thursday evening, the condition of the motorcyclist is unknown.
