A pedestrian was sent to the hospital after being struck by a Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle that was responding to a medical emergency Friday morning in Santa Clarita.
Around 9:25 a.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian that the Fire Department was involved in on Shangri La Drive near Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, said Craig Little, a spokesperson for the the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Fire Department unit was responding to a possible cardiac arrest call on Pleasantdale Street before the pedestrian was struck, according to officials .
As a result of the crash, one person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Little.
The crash remains under investigation, according to officials.
