A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in a Saugus crash Friday evening, officials said.
The crash was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Friday near Copper Hill Drive and Gold Canyon Drive in Saugus, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We are currently investigating a fatal auto versus pedestrian collision,” said Lt. Lasko with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The cause of the crash is under active investigation as of 10 p.m. Friday.
Lanes are blocked in the area as deputies investigate the incident, according to officials.
Other injuries related to the collision are unknown as of Friday night.
