A pedestrian was transported to a local hospital Sunday after being run over by a drunk driver near Bridge to Home in Saugus, officials said.
At 3:41 p.m. Sunday, first responders received a call of a possible drunk driving traffic collision involving a pedestrian near Bridge to Home on the 23000 block of Drayton Street, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.
One suspect was arrested for driving under the influence, according to Lt. Dahring of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The victim was asleep where the driver normally parks his car, and his leg was run over,” said Dahring. “Apparently [the driver] had been going back and forth for beer during the day.”
The patient was sent to the hospital with a non-life threatening leg injury.
