One person was ejected from their vehicle Saturday morning after a traffic collision on the 5 Freeway in Valencia.

At around 9:45 a.m. first responders received reports of a crash between a black Honda sedan and a red Volkswagen on the northbound 5 Freeway at Valencia Boulevard, according to Miguel Ornelas, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We got the call about a two vehicle crash and transported one person,” said Ornelas.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident Logs, one vehicle was found off the freeway and in an embankment.

One person in the Honda sedan was found to be ejected from their vehicle upon units arriving at the scene and was transported to the hospital. The patient was reported  to have been driving recklessly prior to the crash.

As of 9:46 a.m. the northbound Valencia off-ramp from the northbound 5 Freeway has been shut down for an unknown duration..
