Nordhoff: 14

West Ranch (1-0): 55

The Wildcats blow out the Rangers in the season opener for the second year in a row.

Walker Eget had a bit of an uneven performance, starting out sharp with two touchdowns in the first half but hit a bit of a lull in the second half. He found his stride again in the fourth quarter with a nice touchdown pass, giving him three on the night to go along with two interceptions.

Reiger Burgin scored three times on the ground, and Thierry Sirias added another rushing touchdown. West Ranch also picked off Leeram Stoneman of Nordhoff twice, returning one for a touchdown.

Crespi: 37

Rough start to the season for the Hart offense, committing three turnovers (two interceptions by Zach Johnson) and unable to keep up with Carlsbad.

Taden Littleford had a rushing touchdown and Zach Johnson had a passing touchdown in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring for the Indians.

Next up: vs Muir 8/30

Saugus (1-0): 36

Granada Hills Charter: 0

Saugus cruised at Granada Hills, up 26-0 at halftime, the Centurions burned most of the second half clock en route to victory. It’s their fifth consecutive 1-0 start to a season.

Trinity Classical Academy (1-0): 64

Desert Christian Academy: 12

The Knights were all over DCA from start to finish, and were up 44-0 at halftime.
