The Golden Valley Grizzlies moved to 6-8 with an opening round tournament win over Poly, 70-62 on Wednesday night. GV plays Hamilton at 1 pm today.
Santa Clarita High School Girls Basketball
Cleveland New Year’s Classic
Golden Valley has won two in a row after picking up an overtime tournament win over Arleta, 50-47, and face Arleta again today at 3 pm.
In non-leagueplay, Kayla Konrad and the Valencia Vikings travel to El Camino Real. Tip-off is at 6:30 pm.
Both Heritage League teams are also in action, with Trinity hosting Milken at 4 pm and SCCS hosting Newbury Park Adventist at 5:30.

Cesar Chavez Tournament
Hart snapped a two-game skid this morning with a 2-1 victory over Arleta, its first game since falling 3-2 to Saugus in the Hart Holiday Classic. The Indians have Temple City next at 2:30 pm.
Both Heritage League teams have non-league home matches Thursday. Trinity faces The Palmdale Aerospace Academy and SCCS battles de Toledo. Kickoff for those matches are at 4 pm .

Coming off the Lakers best performance since Christmas, the team is in Portland tonight to take on Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm.
