Saugus Football Program Rallying Behind Coach Battling Lymphoma

In the spring of 2024, Scott Maxwell, a coach in the Saugus football program, found out he had Lymphoma, but the Saugus community has helped him through his trials.

With an uncertain path ahead, it’s the collective effort of family, friends and the Saugus community that has created a GoFundMe for Maxwell, ensuring that he and his wife Theresa have one less thing to worry about.

Coach Maxwell has always been there for our athletes, guiding and supporting them on and off the field. Now, it’s our turn to stand by him,” stated the GoFundMe page for Maxwell.

The $10,000 goal that was set for Maxwell has already been surpassed, but with the cost of treatments and living expenses, extra funds are welcomed to help relieve the family of any financial burdens.

Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and will allow them to focus on what truly matters—Coach Maxwell’s recovery and well-being,” states the GoFundMe.

The Maxwell family and Saugus community thank everyone in advance for their generosity and ask to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
