If anyone in your family is allergic to strawberries, avert your eyes for a second. Everyone else, get your strawberry on at the Strawberry Festival in Oxnard!
Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th from 10:00am to 6:30pm take the trip to the Strawberry Meadows at College Park in Oxnard for amazing rides and games, plus the best part…strawberry flavored EVERYTHING! KHTS is selling half-price tickets for only $6, so come on by the station or shop online at shopKHTS.com.

Fairy Shelter Breakfast & Auction
We could all use a little more magic in our lives, right? So make sure you take the kids to see the incredible Fairy Shelters built for the “Fairy Shelter Breakfast and Auction” fundraiser.
Saturday, May 16th from 9:00am to 12 noon check out this fundraiser held by the Domestic Violence Center at Hart Park in the Enchanted Fairy Garden
Tickets to attend the breakfast are $25, and include breakfast and a raffle. The cost to enter a house in the auction and contest is $10. See the website details and tickets.

Armed Forces Appreciation Day
This Saturday, May 16th, is Armed Forces and Veteran Appreciation Day and there are two great events for you to celebrate.
Military families can visit the Help the Children SCV & Antelope Valley event “The Framing Hope Veteran Appreciation Day” between 8:30am and 12 pm and get free home improvement supplies and enjoy a party just for them. Visit their website for details.

Want to throw on your sneakers and hang out with friends for a good cause? Now you can walk to fundraise for the American Cancer Society at the Santa Clarita Relay for Life.
The 24 hour event begins Saturday, May 16th a 9:00am and ends at 9:00am Sunday, May 17th at Central Park, and you can participate or just go visit and support the walkers. There will also be vendors and fun out there for all to enjoy. Visit their website for details.

Happenins at Hart: Animal Prints
Who doesn’t love a good Animal Print? Wait, I don’t mean on a purse or kicky pair of pumps, I mean the kind that your kids can create at the Happenins at Hart Craft Event.
Take the kids on Friday, May 15th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm to the Hart Park Picnic Area for this free project. Your K-5th graders can make their own Paw Prints, then use them to make tracks for scientists to follow. It’s all free and supplies are provided, all you need to do is bring your little animals to join in the fun.
And if you come wearing a leopard print blouse? All the better!
