Tron Scott Jr. Mayo, 31, of Inglewood, was found stabbed to death shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to Los Angeles County Fire Officials.
The body was reported to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies on the side of the road in a remote part of Castaic, near the 35500 block of Ridge Route Road, about 1 mile south of Templin Highway. The body was found on a private road near the entrance to the property.
Fire officials dispatched to a call regarding a person “in full arrest,” meaning the reporting party was unsure if the victim was breathing.
Mayo was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Initial information indicates the murder took place somewhere else and the body was dumped at the location at which it was found, officials said.
