‘Star Trek: Picard’ Films At College Of The Canyons

Filming for portions of the upcoming CBS series “Star Trek: Picard” happened at the College of the Canyons Valencia campus Thursday, college officials confirmed.

The College of the Canyons Valencia campus was one of the filming locations for the upcoming CBS series “Star Trek: Picard,” which is set to air in 2020, according to officials.

Film crews were seen at the community college on Thursday working out of the University Center building, according to students on campus.

“We’re just grateful for the filming,” said John Green, Managing Director District Communications for College of the Canyons

The show features Sir Patrick Stewart recast as his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, according to the show’s website.

Following over two decades since the character Jean-Luc Picard was seen in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” the new series is set to follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life.

“Star Trek Picard” is set to premier in early 2020, with its first trailer only having been released Saturday, July 20, according to the show’s CBS website.
