The City of Santa Clarita hosted its annual Cowboy Festival over the weekend in Newhall to experience the Western heritage.
The Cowboy Festival took over Main Street this weekend where attendees had the opportunity to experience the City of Santa Clarita’s rich western heritage.
“We usually come here every year for the festival,” said parent Gabby Zuno.

The Festival was located between 8th Street and the roundabout in Old Town Newhall.
During the Cowboy Festival attendees were able to experience country western and bluegrass music across multiple stages.
Other activities that were available to attendees were archery, hatchet throwing and mechanical bull riding and more.
Attendees could also try various cowboy cuisine vendors and visit western wear vendors while enjoying live music from several of the stages.

The Cowboy Festival also had line dancing with the Bootscoot where attendees could take lessons on the hour on a special line dance stage.
“I’ve enjoyed the Cowboy Festival for the last five years and before the pandemic struck and I believe in giving to the community,” said volunteer Bob Norman.
