Three Arrested For Robbery That Left Store Owner ‘Taking His Knees’ At Command Of Bat-Wielding Man

Three arrests have been made in connection to an early-morning Canyon Country robbery where a store owner was ordered to “take his knees” under the threat of a bat-wielding man and his two accomplices in April.

On Tuesday, April 26, deputies responded to the 16200 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and a possible grand theft at a local business, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station

“It was reported a business owner allowed people into his shop at approximately 4 a.m.,” Arriaga said. “The people then began to take his property.”

When questioning the victim, deputies were informed that he had invited over his friend, Maria Martinez Galeana to the shop, but was shortly met at the door by Galeana, another female and a male adult.

“While inside the shop, the male suspect brandished a small baseball bat and ordered the suspect to his knees while the two female suspects began to remove items from within the shop,” Arriaga said.

The three suspects fled before deputies arrived, and remained at-large while the report was being taken.

The extent of any injuries sustained to the victim remains unavailable to the general public.

A Series Of Arrests

Earlier this month, deputies with the Crime Impact Team were patrolling Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country when they noticed a vehicle with an expired registration, matching the grand theft suspects’ vehicle description.

“During a traffic stop, they contacted the driver and positively identified her to be Jimena Dominguez, the second female responsible for the robbery,” Arriaga said. “She was arrested for robbery and booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station at the time of her arrest and continues to remain in custody.”

The following day, on May 3, deputies with the Parole Compliance Team arrested the male suspect, Bryan Hernandez, who had been positively identified as the male suspect by the victim, according to Arriaga.

Hernandez was initially arrested on a probation violation on the 44100 block of Fern Avenue in Lancaster, and booked into Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.

Galeana was also arrested in connection to the robbery, but her arrest report is not available as of Thursday.

  1. Wow remains in custody. I didnt think this was allowed anymore.

  2. It will be let go with a citation! The next victim will have their head split open, but that’s OK, they had a marginalized, underserved, disadvantaged childhood, like sooooo many others and choose not to behave like other decent humans!
