Two people were arrested last Thursday in Stevenson Ranch by the Special Assignment Team in Santa Clarita for identity theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Just after midnight on Thursday, June 23, deputies with the Special Assignment Team observed a vehicle without registration tags on Weldon Canyon Road and The Old Road, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“As deputies contacted the occupants of the vehicle they learned the male passenger was on active parole and the female driver did not (have) a driver’s license,” Arriaga said.
Deputies on the Special Assignment Team conducted a search of the vehicle and found numerous debit cards and drug paraphernalia.
Ashton Harrison, 51, and Michael Scudder, 19, both from Sylmar, were booked for identity theft and possession of drug paraphernalia by deputies and subsequently released on citation to appear in court at a later date, Arriaga said.
