Two female hikers were located and rescued Tuesday evening by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies in Towsley Canyon.
At around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday two female hikers in their 40s were reported as missing in the Towsley Canyon region in Stevenson Ranch, according to Lieutenant Jim Royal, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“They were located by an airship about 6 miles out and guided towards deputies,” Royal said.
As of 7:29 p.m. the hikers have been officially rescued from the canyon.
