Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the Wells Fargo bank off of Soledad Canyon Road near Whites Canyon Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Witnesses inside the Wells Fargo and neighboring businesses were startled by a loud noise from just outside the bank.
When deputies arrived, they found that a Ford Escape had driven through the handrails on the walkway in front of the bank, narrowly avoiding damaging the building itself.
Upon further investigation, deputies discovered that the driver of the Escape was unlicensed, according to officials on scene.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, and the vehicle was driven away from the scene after being pried from the damaged handrails.

Unfortunately, this area is chock full of unlicensed, unregistered, uninsured drivers. If laws were more harsh and enforced, it wouldn’t be this bad here.
