Wolf gathered momentum in her swimming career after getting nationally recognized for her speed in the 50-Meter Freestyle in 2016.
Wolf was one of 48 top U.S. swimmers to be selected to participate in a Four-Day National Swimming Program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2016.
With practice, Wolf later qualified to swim in the July 2017 U.S. World Trials, where she competed in the 50-Freestyle in Indianapolis, Indiana, a news release said. The next week Wolf was offered a scholarship and committed to swim for Indiana University starting in September 2018, the news release said.
Wolf left Valencia High to complete her senior year in Indiana, where she is currently a senior at Bloomington High School South in Bloomington.
She is expected to sign her official National letter of intent on Wednesday to swim for the Indiana University swim team.
“We are so proud of Julia and all that she has accomplished,” said Julia’s father, Jay Wolf. “We are eager to see what the future holds for Julia in terms of her swimming and wish her the best during her career at Indiana University.”
