Virtual Reality Omni Arena Added At MB2 In Santa Clarita

MB2 Entertainment in Santa Clarita is adding the popular virtual reality Omni Arena to it’s list of offered activities

Omni Arena is a system that allows players to immerse themselves into virtual reality while moving freely and at full speed. The arena features the first omni-directional treadmill, so players can walk and run in 360 degrees inside video games and other virtual worlds.

Eight different games are set to be offered so guests can choose to fight zombies, kill outlaws or slice beasts and more.

Southern California residents know MB2 Entertainment is the go-to place for top-notch attractions and fun for all ages,” says owner Chris Brooks. “We’re always looking for new ways to provide guests with memorable experiences and the Omni Arena is an exciting addition to our attractions lineup.”

MB2 Entertainment is set to host its own Omni Arena tournament where players compete against others nationwide.

The competition is open until March 31 and only open to players at MB2 Entertainment. Teams face off against the undead in “Dead Zone Zombies” for the chance to win up to $1,000 in cash prizes.

“One of the teams competing in Omni’s national tournaments from MB2 has ranked in the top ten playing ‘Blackbeard: Trials of Skull Island’,” Brooks says. “Anyone can succeed and win money in the national contests with a little bit of practice.”

In addition to the new VR experience, guests can experience a variety of family-fun activities at MB2. The seven-acre entertainment destination features indoor and outdoor attractions with mini golf, kart racing, ax throwing, laser tag, bowling and more.

About Carl Goldman

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station on October 24, 2003. They owned it from 1990-1998, and then sold it to Clear Channel Communication in 1998, buying it back from Clear Channel in 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. In 2018 an FM was added, 98.1, with its signal being simulcast with AM-1220. In January 2020, Carl and Jeri cruised on the Diamond Princess. Carl was one of the first Americans to come down with Covid-19. Months earlier he was impacted by Guillain Barre Syndrome as a result of a Shingles vaccine in September 2019. He is still in recovery from the vaccine.
