What’s Filming This Week In Santa Clarita – Mar. 20 – Mar. 26, 2023

More filming is happening in Santa Clarita this week, including some familiar TV shows.

Television

S.W.A.T.

Daniel Harrelson, a Los Angeles S.W.A.T. lieutenant is assigned to lead a highly skilled unit in the community where he grew up. Torn between loyalty to the streets where the cops are sometimes the enemy and allegiance to his brothers in blue, he strategically straddles the two worlds.

Mayans MC

“Mayans MC” follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a new member of the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. Ez and his brother Angel are closer than ever after recently uncovering the truth behind their mother’s murder. Faced with carving out a new identity for himself in his small town, EZ’s need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended. Meanwhile, their father Felipe struggles to reconcile the choices he and his sons have made.

Curb your Enthusiasm

“Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David plays a version of himself in the improvised series. He faces a constant barrage of life’s little annoyances which in David’s sometimes well-meaning but terminally fumbling hands don’t tend to stay small for very long. Episodes frequently center on his ignorance of or disregard for well-established social conventions and expectations, as well as his insistence that others adhere to rules of which only he seems to be aware.

The Old Man

Dan Chase absconded from the CIA and lives off the grid, When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past. The FBI’s Harold Harper is called to hunt him down because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. When Chase proves to be more difficult and apprehend than the authorities expected, a highly trained special ops contractor is sent to pursue him as well. While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald, who draws on reserves she never knew she had to survive the day she learns the truth about her new tenant.

About Carl Goldman

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station on October 24, 2003. They owned it from 1990-1998, and then sold it to Clear Channel Communication in 1998, buying it back from Clear Channel in 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. In 2018 an FM was added, 98.1, with its signal being simulcast with AM-1220. In January 2020, Carl and Jeri cruised on the Diamond Princess. Carl was one of the first Americans to come down with Covid-19. Months earlier he was impacted by Guillain Barre Syndrome as a result of a Shingles vaccine in September 2019. He is still in recovery from the vaccine.
