An Amber Alert has been issued for a two month-old Asian boy, Jefferson Gomes, who was taken by his biological father, 42 year-old Jeffrey Michael Gomes, after a domestic violence incident on Friday, November 3, 2017.

UPDATE: the baby, Jefferson Gomes, was found safe. Jeffrey Gomes, the suspect in the kidnapping, has been taken into custody.

A 2-month-old boy, Jefferson Gomes, was found safe after his biological father allegedly kidnapped him, sparking an Amber Alert across Los Angeles County, officials said.

Baby Gomes was last seen at approximately 1:20 p.m. inside Suspect Gomes vehicle, a 2007 White, Chevy 2500 Pickup truck, California license plate 02390P1.  The truck was last seen towing an approximate 28’ toy hauler trailer.

Jeffrey Gomes, the boy’s father, was taken into custody Saturday. Officials said Gomes was considered armed and dangerous, but law enforcement officials were able to resuce the baby with no injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
