After Jay Leno Collaboration, Las Vegas Singer Terrell Edwards Is Coming To Santa Clarita

In June, Las Vegas crooner Terrell Edwards, after years of work alongside comedian Jay Leno, is scheduled to appear in the Santa Clarita Valley at the Canyon Club!

The Canyon Club in Santa Clarita is set to feature Las Vegas singer of classic jazz standards Terrell Edwards on June 18.

“We ended up performing with Jay Leno, opening act at the Mirage Terry Fator Theatre,” Edwards said in his KHTS interview. “That started a relationship that lasted three years, and for three years when he showed up at The Mirage, we got a call.”

Edwards discussed his excitement for the upcoming performance in Santa Clarita, going into his history performing in Las Vegas after being a small-time entertainer beforehand.

After working alongside Leno in Las Vegas, Edwards collaborated with music producer Preston Glass, with whom he wrote some successful songs.

“We hit it off right away,” Edwards said, describing his collaboration with Glass. “We started writing a song. He actually introduced the song to me, called ‘100 Percent’….That song actually reached number five on the UK Soul Charts. It was part of the Top 100 songs in 2021.”

Terrell Edwards Early years

Originally from Milwaukee, Edwards was the youngest child in a family of musicians which gave him a chance to always improve on his craft, learning and gaining a passion for music.

Edwards went on to study music as a vocalist and saxophonist, but soon picked up drums and piano. He left home by age 18 to join the U.S. Navy, but Edwards returned as a songwriter, always building his resume as a businessman and motivational speaker.

Today, Edwards performs in venues all around the state of California and other locations, with performances including the Canyon Club, Warner Park in Woodland Hills and the Grammy Museum.

Edwards will be performing at The Canyons Club on June 18 alongside musical group Ambrosia, with tickets to the event available here.

The Canyon Club can be found at the Westfield Valencia Town Center at 24201 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
