The feature remake of “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead” is scheduled to have their production in Santa Clarita this week, along with many other productions including Good Trouble.

Feature Films

The remake of the 1991 commedy, “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead” is scheduled to film this week in Santa Clarita this week.

Treehouse Pictures brought on “Yellojackets” Bille Woodruff to direct the dark comedy and writer Chuck Hayward from “Wandavision” to work on the script for the latest remake of “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.”

According to IMBd Tyra Banks is planned to star as Rose in the latest remake about a Black family whose parents take a long trip and hire a babysitter to watch the siblings, including teenage Sue Ellen or “Swell”.  As the title foretells, after the babysitter passes away, the kids bring the body to the funeral home with a note. In the midst of the chaos, Swell starts a fashion career, working for a woman named Rose (Banks) who works at General Apparel West.

This allegedly may become the first completed remake of the cult film since the attempt of a remake in 2010.
