The 2019 Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest season has officially begun, packed with thrilling fun, lurking monsters and new attractions.
With six scare zones and six mazes, 2019 Fright Fest is back for select nights after sundown from Sept. 14 through Nov. 3 at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The scare mazes this year include Vault 666: Unlocked, Sewer of Souls, Willoughby’s Resurrected, Red’s Revenge, Afterlife 2: Chaos Rising and Condemned: Forever Damned.
A revamp of a previous maze, Vault 666: Unlocked, is the latest to join the lineup of mazes at Fright Fest. Six Flags has amped up the maze, warning guests to expect the unexpected, according to Connie Lujan, spokesperson for Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The scare zones each undergo a transformation into a different themed horror experience, Nightmares: A Twisted Fantasy, City Under Siege, Witches Lair, Terrortory Twisted, Demon’s Door and Exile Hill.

With twisted clowns and demented demons running rampant all over the park, guests are encouraged to savor the thrills of the season.
To kick off the 27th season of Fright Fest, a 30-hour Coffin Challenge was held, where five contestants were “laid to rest” for 30 hours.
Braving triple-digit weather, elimination challenges and visits from Fright Fest “freaks,” five contestants finished the challenge, finally being “resurrected” from their coffins.
One winner was decided via a Six Flags trivia test, and was rewarded with $666, a Gold Pass for the 2020 Six Flags Season and an Express Haunted Maze pass.
As a reward for completing the 30-hour challenge, the four other contestants were also rewarded with Gold Passes.
The 2019 Fright Fest season runs select nights until Nov. 3.
