Old Fairy Tale Transforms Into New Concert Next Month

A local artist has remastered an old fairy tale transforming it into an orchestral concert to premiere in Santa Clarita late next month.

Composer and Newhall resident, Amy Mack has taken the fairy tale written by George MacDonald in 1864 “The Light Princess” and remastered it into a musical storytelling with original artwork.

The condensed narration of the story will be told with a full orchestra, soloists, a choir and artwork by Jay Wegter.

The first free concert will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita on Friday, February 27.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and there are no tickets required.

The second concert will take place at 6 p.m. at The Masters College on Friday, March 6.
