‘S.W.A.T.’ Television Show To Land Helicopter In Valencia Industrial Center

The television show “S.W.A.T.” is expected to land a helicopter in the Valencia Industrial Center Saturday morning as part of filming, officials said.

On Saturday at about 7 a.m., a helicopter is set to land in the area near Avenue Kearny in Valencia with the helicopter flying up and down intermittently between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. By dusk, the copter is expected to leave the area, according to a key assistant location manager for the production.

“For the safety of our neighbors, we will have cops positioned in the area to help us control traffic when the helicopter is in motion,” reads a notification from “S.W.A.T.” to businesses in the area.

The TV show expects production assistants to spread throughout the neighborhood to help assist in crowd control as well, according to the notification.

“We won’t impede on your business or work but simply ask you to be safe when the helicopter is in motion,” the letter reads.

The CBS show is filmed partially at Santa Clarita Studios and the surrounding area in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“S.W.A.T.” is currently filming its fourth season, which was temporarily put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The production started filming back up in July when the Santa Clarita Film Office began to reissue filming permits.
