Starting this week on Thursday, Jan. 24, The Canyon in Santa Clarita is scheduled to host the weekly event.

Put your country boots on and come dance the night away,” said event organizers.

Staff at the Borderline Bar & Grill hosted the weekly event for years until a mass shooting on Nov. 8, 2018, forced the owners to close their doors.

“Thousand Oaks is more than the community we do business in, but rather our brothers, sisters, dads, mommas, friends, family and neighbors. We love you and together we will stand strong,” said Brian Hynes, owner of Borderline Bar & Grill.

Hynes says guests that got their weekly “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” at Borderline were left without a place to meet with friends and family to enjoy country music and line dancing, but that’s about to change.

“We’ve seen you line dancing in parking lots, dirt lots, in your homes and all over town and we are so honored to announce that country night is back,” said Hynes.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with dance lessons scheduled for 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at The Canyon Club Box Office or at the door.

This is an 18 and over event, according to organizers.

The Canyon event is set to be held at the Westfield Valencia Town Center location at 24201 Valencia Blvd. #1351 in Santa Clarita.
