West Ranch High To Host 11th Annual ‘Wildcat Classic’ Marching Band Competition

West Ranch High School’s “Wildcat Classic,” an annual day-long marching band competition, is set to return to Santa Clarita this month, according to officials.

More than 20 high school bands, some of which are also from the Santa Clarita Valley, are set to gather for the competition at Valencia High School to entertain the audience and win over the judges from the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA).

“Each high school band will compete by division, followed by an astounding showcase performance of the three-time state champion West Ranch Band and Colorguard.” according to officials.

West Ranch High will be debuting their new performance piece titled “Immortal,” as well as the new uniforms they were able to purchase from direct fundraising efforts by the students.

Vendors are set to be on-site with food and drink options, as well as gifts and apparel for the music enthusiast, according to officials.

The performance schedule will be announced prior to the event. Tickets are $12 and parking is free, according to event organizers.

The Wildcat Classic is set to take place on Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. at Valencia High School’s football stadium, located at 27801 Dickason Drive.
