What’s Filming This Week In Santa Clarita? – Mar. 6 – Mar. 12, 2023

The first full week of March brings drier weather, perfect for filming projects in our Santa Clarita Valley.

After heavy winter storms delayed filming for several projects, sunny March weather welcomes back these projects filming in Santa Clarita over the next week.

Television

The Sympathizer

A drama series adaptation from HBO and A24 of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, produced by and co-starring Robert Downey Jr.. The tale chronicles the life of a half-French, half-Vietnamese man (Hoa Xuande) who served as a spy for Communist forces during the Vietnam War.

Mayans MC

Airing in 2018 and with four seasons, Mayans MC follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a newly patched member of the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. Once a golden boy with the American Dream within his grasp, EZ and his brother Angel are closer than ever after uncovering the truth behind their mother’s murder.

Faced with carving out a new identity for himself in his small town, EZ’s need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended. Meanwhile, their father Felipe struggles to reconcile his and his sons’ choices.

SWAT

Based on the 1975 series of the same name, “SWAT” follows Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore of “Criminal Minds”), a Los Angeles S.W.A.T. lieutenant, assigned to lead a highly skilled unit in the community where he grew up. Torn between loyalty to the streets, where the cops are sometimes the enemy, and allegiance to his brothers in blue, he strategically straddles the two worlds.
