A 1-year-old child suffering from a seizure was transported to the hospital with Sheriff’s deputies blocking off intersections en-route to the emergency room Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The incident was first reported at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday as a seizure on Avenida Rondel near Old Orchard Elementary School in Newhall, according to Leslie Lua, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We assisted in the transport,” said a detective with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, confirming the child was about 1 year old.
The condition of the child is unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
