A Canyon Country gas main break in the Vista Canyon construction site has prompted evacuations Friday morning, officials said.
Around 9:35 a.m. Friday, firefighters received reports of a gas main break on the 17300 block of Humphreys Parkway in Canyon Country, said Christian Chavez, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It is a construction site with a gas line break,” Chavez Said.
Crews with the Southern California Gas company are responding to repair the approximately four-inch gas main that ruptured, according to Fire officials.
Due to the leak, the surrounding area has to be evacuated, according to Chavez.
No injuries have been reported as of 9:55 a.m. Friday.
