A child was airlifted in Valencia Thursday morning after suffering from a reported head injury, officials said.

On Thursday, around 11:30 a.m., first responders received reports of a child who had suffered a head injury on Tourney Road in Valencia, said Melanie Flores, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“It is unknown where the child was injured,” Flores said.

The helicopter landed in an empty field next to the Kaiser Permanente office, according to officials.

The condition of the child was unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
