“Copter 15 transported one critical patient to a local hospital and one person with minor injuries was transported by ground,” said LACoFD spokesperson Vanessa Lozano.

The crash happened just before 12:45 p.m. near Chiquito Canyon Rd.

CHP assisted LACoFD by temporarily halting traffic on both eastbound and westbound sides of the CA-126.

“They are closing down both sides of the freeway in order to land a (LACoFD) helicopter,” said CHP spokesperson Officer Priesman.

CHP started to allow traffic through in one lane on either side at approximately 1:20 p.m., according to Priesman.
