First responders are searching for a lost hiker who is possibly injured at Towsley Canyon Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a lost and injured hiker at Towsley Canyon Trail on the 24000 block of The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch, said Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The patient fell into a ditch,” Lopez said.
Crews on scene requested a helicopter to respond to hoist the injured hiker, according to Lopez.
Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue also responded to the scene, according to Fire officials.
The hiker was retrieved and safely returned to the entrance of the open space around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
