Man Hospitalized After Being Electrocuted While Working On Sprinkler System In Canyon Country

A man has been transported to the hospital Tuesday after reportedly being electrocuted while working on a sprinkler system in Canyon Country, officials said.

Around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters received reports of a man who passed out while doing yard work on the 27000 block of Calypso Lane in Canyon Country, said Joey Napoli, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

He was reportedly working on a sprinkler box with exposed wires, and was electrocuted, Napoli said.

CPR was started by first responders at 12:34 p.m., one minute prior to paramedics arriving at the scene, according to officials.

The man was transported to the hospital at 12:56 p.m., according to Napoli.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies drove in tandem with paramedics as the victim was transported to the hospital, according to officials.

The condition of the person is currently unknown as of the publication of this article.

  1. Electrocuted means dead.

  2. CPR is performed on a living person whose CV autonomic function is interrupted.

    Electrocution is an Edison word used to describe the fatal dangers of arch rival Tesla’s alternating current power distribution system.
