The man who was killed Saturday evening as a result of a fatal Canyon Country shooting has been identified.
David Koos, 67, was reportedly killed as a result of wounds sustained during a shooting in Canyon Country, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
Deputies initially received reports of shots fired at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday near Rainbow Glen Drive in Canyon Country, officials said.
“Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the 26000 block of Rainbow Glen Drive,” said Deputy Crowder from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau at the time.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials remained on-scene for several hours as they investigated the circumstances that led to the incident.
Officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station could not confirm if any suspects had been arrested in connection with the shooting as of Monday evening.

What does “ sherriffs dept could not confirm if the suspect was detained” mean? They dont know? Potentially someone in the community with a gun, who killed someone. This article could be more informative.

They knew who murdered him … She thought her boyfriend of many years was an intruder? And during daytime, wasn’t at night at all… 5:30pm is still light… She walked people, no charges were filed… none… I suppose if you shoot and kill someone and claim it was because of nonsense AND no witnesses, you walk. Terrible outrageous!!! The DA refused this case? Again, this is outrageous, she admitted she killed him and she walked.. I will never get over this. RIP my brother…
