A newborn was rushed to the hospital Monday afternoon, with Santa Clarita deputies shutting down intersections en route to the emergency room, officials said.
The incident was reported at about 3:45 p.m. Monday on the 25000 block of Hawkbryn Avenue in Newhall, according to Sean Rios with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The patient was an infant, just barely born,” Rios said.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station blocked off intersections to aid in the response to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Sgt. Joel Nebel with the station.
