At about 4:50 p.m., it was reported that a deputy had been involved in a fight on Newhall Avenue at the park and ride near the 14 Freeway, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Two engines with the fire department and one ambulance were dispatched to the incident, but no one was taken to a hospital, according to first responders on scene.

Before the fight, a white pickup truck was being investigated by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies after they noticed it had no license plates. The driver and passenger of the truck became uncooperative with deputies, leading to the altercation according to deputies on scene.

During the investigation, one of the two was found to have over $300,000 in warrants, as well as methamphetamine.

The two were taken to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail for booking.
