Firefighters responded to a Canyon Country hazardous materials call Thursday to a possible butane hash oil lab with one person detained, officials said.
Around 8 a.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a hazardous materials response call on the 29300 block of Kelly Court in Canyon Country, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It is possibly for a honey lab,” Lopez said.
It was reported that about 12-to-14 ounces of hash oil were being processed, according to initial reports.
The smell of butane was noticeable in the surrounding area of the structure, according to officials.
One suspect was detained as a result of the incident, according to officials on scene.

Lucky for everyone around there that it didn’t explode!! Very dangerous stuff to make! Seems like a hefty risk for only a large Budweiser size amount, but when you consider he’s gonna split it up into 1ml. vials, it really is a lot, and it can make someone a good amount of money, so I guess it’s a good bust. To me, most importantly, it didn’t explode!

Take it from King Nugos, who is speaking strictly on a recreational level, Butane Hash Oil, aka dabs, is bad news. This super concentrated goo is way beyond normal weed these days, which is plenty strong enough. These labs are dangerous, dabs make people look drugged out and give normal potheads a bad name. You can have a good time with a nice joint of Sour Diesel, no one needs this garbage.
