Officials with the Westfield Valencia Town Center have decided to push back their reopening date out of “concern for the welfare” of employees and customers.
On Tuesday, officials with the Westfield Valencia Town Center sent an email to employees announcing that they would be delaying the reopening of the mall, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday.
“Along with the reopening date being pushed, we have decided to halt all curbside offering, effective immediately, out of an abundance of caution,” the email reads.
Officials with the town center could not confirm an official reopening date as of Tuesday afternoon.

Additionally, the email goes on to note that mall officials are “aware of Thursday’s potential disruption,” referring to a large protest that is reportedly set to take place near the center.
“We ask that on Thursday, if it’s not essential for you to be onsite, please stay at home,” the email reads.
The Westfield Valencia Town Center has been closed for over two months in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Can they at least allow protesters to use the valet parking area. #BLM
At least the mall is being smart about this. I hope that Whole Foods / AT&T / Kohls / Islands /etc, and many local businesses also take the hint and close up for the day.
They will most likely shutdown the parking lot as they did last weekend (was able to get Chic-Fil-A)
We’ve seen far too much curbside pickup the last three or four days. Not by demonstrators but by opportunistic criminal elements spoiling the message of equality/justice/right to life and representation.
I agree, right to life = no abortions!

This is right thing to do. But not only for the safety of the employees, community and the actual businesses but to show that our community cares about the cause.
