With a variety of scenic spots in the community, there are three outdoor locations that each would bring a different feel to a portrait session with a photographer in Santa Clarita.

#1 – Placerita Canyon
For those interested in a more rustic, natural outdoor portrait, Placerita Canyon could be a great option.
Filled with shaded oak groves, a seasonal stream lined with willows and sycamore trees, a seasonal waterfall and a number of other unique plant communities, Placerita Canyon can appeal to any nature lover.

A network of hiking trails stems into the canyon from the Placerita Nature Center, with at least one trail relatively flat for an easy walk to more open spaces filled with towering trees.
In addition, two historic landmarks can be found in Placerita Canyon, including Walker Cabin built in 1920 and the Oak of the Golden Dream, the site of California’s original discovery of gold in 1842, according to center officials.
#2 – Central Park

Like most parks, Central Park is filled with large open grassy areas and trees, with a backdrop of the mountains on one side.

#3 – Bridgeport
The last outdoor option with more of a suburban feel is Bridgeport, which features walking paths around an extensive man-made lake surrounded by townhomes complete with white picket fences and manicured plants and flowers.
A miniature lighthouse sits at one end of the lake, with several docks and plenty of benches spread out along the paths, which are also known to be lined with ducks and sun-bathing turtles.
