SCV Chamber Announces New Chair Of The Board For 2022

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce (SCV Chamber) has announced that Dr. Christian Raigosa is set to serve as chair of the board of directors next year.

The SCV Chamber said Tuesday that Raigosa, who works for the Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center, is set to replace John Vance as the chair of the organization’s board in 2022, according to officials.

“I am honored to serve as the 2022 Chair of the SCV Chamber Board of Directors and look forward to continuing the momentum of my predecessors who have helped to transform and strengthen our chamber,” Raigosa said.  “The SCV Chamber is the ‘Voice of Business’ in the Santa Clarita Valley and we’re excited to continue expansion of the chamber’s benefits, advocacy work and business education and connections.”

Raigosa is a physician who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and currently serves as the assistant area medical director and physician marketing leader at the Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley, according to the SCV Chamber.

The doctor works with sales and account management staff to create better health outcomes for employees, said a statement by the SCV Chamber.

Through his philanthropic work, Raigosa supports local businesses and non-profit organizations, SCV Chamber representatives said.

He is also active, competing in marathons and triathlons, according to the SCV Chamber.

Raigosa earned his bachelor’s in physiological science from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), then earned his medical degree from UCLA’s school of medicine, according to a statement from SCV Chamber.

He then completed his residency training at the Santa Monica UCLA Family Medicine Residency, representatives with SCV Chamber said.

“I am pleased to pass the gavel over to Dr. Raigosa to serve as Chair of the Board next year,” Vance said.  “This past year, the Chamber has seen tremendous growth and Dr. Raigosa is the perfect fit to lead the Chamber to the next level. I look forward to being a part of the success he will bring.”

Raigosa is set to become chair on Jan. 1, 2022 and is scheduled to be ceremonially installed at the Chamber’s 99th Annual Awards and Installation Dinner. Details are slated to be posted on the SCV Chamber website in the coming weeks.
