Antelope Valley Line Trains North Of Santa Clarita To Face Interruptions For Maintenance

Some Metrolink Antelope Valley Line trains are set to not operate between the Vincent Grade/Acton and Lancaster stations due to a maintenance and infrastructure project this weekend.

North of Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley Line Trains 229 and 231 are set to not operate between Vincent Grade/Acton and Lancaster stations on Friday, and all Antelope Valley Line trains are scheduled to be inoperable in the same area on Saturday and Sunday, according to Metrolink officials.

“Safety is foundational at Metrolink, and we are regularly working to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of our system in the communities we serve,” officials said.

This Friday, Metrolink line trains 229 and 231 in the Antelope Valley are scheduled to not operate between the Vincent Grade/Acton, according to officials.

However, the two trains are set to operate between Los Angeles Union Station and the Vincent Grade/Acton station, according to representatives.

Trains between the Los Angeles Union Station and the Vincent Grade/Acton station are still set to operate.

For any riders in Santa Clarita who use these trains,  alternate transportations to and from Vincent Grade/Acton, Palmdale and Lancaster stations are set to be provided, but delays of up to an hour are expected, according to officials.

“We apologize that these necessary infrastructure enhancements result in the closure of the rail line and for the inconveniences it causes our riders,” officials said. “We will continue to look for ways to minimize the impact of these closures as best as possible as we continue this critical work.”
