A man who was struck and killed by a freight train in January has been identified.
Limmie Jones Jr., 63, of Buena Park, has been identified as the man who was struck and killed by a freight train near the Via Princessa Metrolink Station on Monday, February 9, according to a spokesperson for the L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
At around 3:45 p.m. Feb. 9, it was reported that someone was struck by a Union Pacific freight train on the tracks at Via Princessa in Canyon Country, according to Sgt. Mark Perkins with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The death has been deemed an accident, despite rumours that circulated suggesting that Jones’ death might have been a suicide.
