A statement from Castaic Union School District Superintendent Bob Brauneisen on Feb 10, stated that the district had experienced a cybersecurity incident that has limited IT operations throughout the district.
When district officials were made aware of the incident, they began investigating the issue.
“ We want our students and the community to know that we place a high value on maintaining the integrity and security of the data we hold in our systems and we are working diligently to restore operations and further our investigation of the incident,” said Superintendent Brauneisen.
Once the investigation and restoration process is complete, the Castaic Union School District will provide additional information on the manner, according to Superintendent Brauneisen.
