Central Bark, Santa Clarita’s dog park at Central Park, has reopened.
The Central Park dog park was closed for construction on Monday, April 10, and only reopened late in the last week of April.
During the closure, the dog park received a range of new enhancements including lighting, trees, irrigation, shade structures and picnic tables, said Carrie Lujan, spokesperson for the City of Santa Clarita.
As of Thursday, the large dog park was reopened for use, with tentative plans to reopen the small dog park by Friday, according to City staff.
While Central Bark was closed, Santa Clarita residents of both the human and canine varieties were able to visit Canine Country at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex and Five Barks Dog Park at Golden Valley Park.
Central Bark reopens just in time for the KHTS Home and Garden Show scheduled to take place this weekend, Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
Guests are encouraged to check out the dog park’s new facilities and receive free dog treats from event organizers.
