Cyber Monday 2022 Sets Sales Records For Online Shoppers

Consumers spent more than $11 billion on Cyber Monday making it the biggest U.S. online shopping day in history.

Online sales rose 5.8 percent from last year (not adjusted for inflation) per data from Adobe Analytics, which measures e-commerce performance.

Approximately 196.7 million shoppers made purchases during the five-day holiday period from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday, the National Retail Federation said on Tuesday.

Toys were the most purchased products, seeing eight times the sales from a traditional October 2022 shopping day, while electronics rose five-fold and sporting goods and appliances saw increases over 400 percent.

Pokemon cards, Hot Wheels, PlayStation 5s, Smart TVs and Apple AirPods were among the best-selling products.
