Deputies are seeking the parent of a young child found in Canyon Country Thursday afternoon, officials said.
UPDATE: After a tip from a citizen, a parent was located, according to a post on Twitter from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Thank you for all of your shares in helping,” the post said. “Incident under investigation.”
The child, who says his first name is Nicholas, was found riding his scooter near Soledad Canyon Road and Lost Canyon Road, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies (were) unable to locate parents,” Miller said in a social media post.
Nicholas is a white male, about three to four years old, with blonde hair and hazel eyes, Miller said.
He is wearing an orange long sleeve shirt and jean shorts, according to Miller.
Due to the privacy of the minor, a photo is unable to be released publicly, according to Sheriff’s officials.

I hope they don’t get this child back without somebody taking control because who loses a little boy who does that who does that explain to me this is wrong
I sounds like another Meth head parent! Poor baby, give me the child, mine are all grown up now and doing well.
I hope and pray they do not give him back to the parent(s) soo sad! If drugs are worth it more than your children. Nope, not even a man is!!
