Downed power lines in Valencia caused a mild brush fire Monday night.
At approximately 7:25 p.m. Monday night, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) received a call for a brush fire caused by downed power lines on 28204 Canterbury Court in Valencia, Santa Clarita.
The fire reportedly burned just 1/8th of an acre but required no further assistance.
“Two engines are still on scene; it may have been caused by balloons stuck in high tension lines,” said officials with the LACoFD.
No major outages were reported as of 8:16 p.m., according to the Southern California Edison outage website.
