In the wake of the Saugus High shooting, dozens of celebrities from the entertainment industry have sent words of encouragement to the students of Saugus High School, including the likes of Will Ferrell and Elizabeth Olsen.
Since the shooting at Saugus High School on Nov. 14, dozens of celebrities from the film, music, and social media industries have posted videos of themselves speaking words of encouragement to the students of Saugus High.
“We are thinking about you guys,” said actor Will Ferrell in his video. “We are pulling for you guys, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
Several other actors such as Elizabeth Olsen, musicians like Jacoby Shaddix from the rock band “Papa Roach,” and social media personalities such as Perez Hilton, all expressed sentiments similar to that of Ferrell’s.
“No student, or teacher, or parent, or community should ever have to experience what you guys have just gone through,” Olsen said. “I hope you know that you are not a statistic, and that the world is listening.”
Students from Saugus High recently returned to classes Monday for the first time since the shooting that claimed the lives of 15-year-old Gracie Muehlberger and 14-year-old Dominic Blackwell, along with the shooter, 16-year-old Nathaniel Berhow.
“I just encourage you guys to lift each other up and love each other through this,” Shaddix said. “You will rise. I believe in you guys.”

I hope law enforcement is looking into connections, similarities between these kids carrying out these evil acts. I hope they are looking into what they are reading, video/movie history, video game history, internet history, social media and all . So parents can know and learn from this tragedy. I can’t help but blame the internet kids just don’t need to be on it and they sure don’t need social media.
